Job Title: Vice-Chancellor

Location: Osun

Responsibilities

  • Functions as the Executive and Academic Head of the University
  • Functions as the Chief Exponent of the educational mission of the /university
  • Maintain efficiency and order of the University with singular restraint
  • Acts as the ex-officio Chairperson of the Senate

Qualification

  • Minimum of Ph.D in any of the following areas of study (Liberal Arts, Humanities, Medicine, Sciences or Social Sciences)
  • Continuous service of at least 7 years in senior academic leadership
  • Must have been a professor for at least 5 years in his/her discipline
  • Very knowledgeable about the operations of the University system

Conditions of service

The Vice-Chancellor shall hold the office for 4 years on such terms and conditions of service as may be specified in his/her letter of appointment. The remuneration and conditions of service are comparable to those of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian universities and as may be determined by the Chancellor and Council from time to time.

 

Job Title: Deputy Vice-Chancellor

Location: Osun

Responsibilities

  • Functions as an assistant to the Executive and Academic Head of the University
  • Functions as a Principal Officer of the /university
  • He/She is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor
  • Acts as the Deputy Chairperson of the Senate but can only act as Chair of the Senate in session at the discretion of the Vice-Chancellor

Qualification

  • Minimum of Ph.D in any of the following areas of study (Liberal Arts, Humanities, Medicine, Sciences or Social Sciences)
  • Continuous service of at least 6 years in senior academic leadership
  • Must have been a professor for at least 4 years in his/her discipline
  • Very knowledgeable about the operations of the University system

The Vice-Chancellor shall hold the office for 4 years on such terms and conditions of service as may be specified in his/her letter of appointment. The remuneration and conditions of service are comparable to those of Deputy Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian universities and as may be determined by the Chancellor and Council from time to time.

 

Job Title: Registrar

Location: Osun

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a Principal Officer of the /university and as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University
  • He/She is directly responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day administrative work of the University except for financial matters which shall be under the purview of the Bursar
  • Acts as Secretary to the Council, Senate, Convocation and Congregation of the University

Personal Qualities required

  • High integrity and strong moral character
  • Ability to instill confidence in others and command loyalty and respect of the people
  • Full understanding of the complexities of the Nigerian University system
  • Must be able to effectively utilize human resources to attain a world class administrative system
  • Must be in good health and ICT compliant
  • Must be able to demonstrate dynamism and wisdom when confronted with crisis or undesirable situations

Qualification

  • A good Honours degree
  • Minimum of 8 years post-qualification administrative and professional with minimum of 5 years at management level
  • Must currently hold a post not less than a Deputy Registrar or its equivalent in a Nigerian University
  • Possession of an higher degree and membership of professional bodies will be an added advantage

Conditions of service

The Vice-Chancellor shall hold the office for 4 years. The successful candidate shall be placed on the Consolidated salary for Registrar and will equally enjoy all the allowances normally attached to the positions of the Principal Officers of Nigerian Universities
